An amusement park was experiencing payroll challenges due to a seasonal influx of summer workers. During the summer months of June 15th through September 15th, the amusement park hires 300 additional part-time, seasonal workers, most of which are teenagers. This poses an administrative human resource nightmare for the amusement park which is not equipped to manage the payroll complexities involved with managing weekly checks to the seasonal workers. On average, the company lost twenty checks per week to the teenagers.

The park decided to investigate the idea of outsourcing their human resource administration to Creative Risk Associates, which is uniquely positioned to provide services to this type of entity.

Right away, CRA was able to simplify the weekly check payouts by implementing a payroll debit card system that funds weekly for the company. This saved the company 35% on payroll processing and overnight charges. In addition, twelve hours of management time has been saved by the new system. This is a great benefit to the teenagers, who now have immediate access to their funds even though they don’t have bank accounts.

The employer is thrilled with the human resource support they never had before. The employees now enjoy flexible options for submitting and reporting their payroll, 24/7/365. Management is now able to easily access secure payroll information, such as pay history, year-to-date earnings, vacation information, benefit deductions and more. All the essential payroll services are covered and they are able to save 35% on their employee benefit package. CRA was able to eliminate the employer’s high deductibles charged through their previous Horizon Blue Cross rates while providing them with a fixed 4-tier rate system that they can budget for annually, while keeping their employees satisfied.
